SISTEM INFORMASI GEOGRAFIS BERBASIS WEB PEMETAAN POTENSI PANAS BUMI DI INDONESIA MENGGUNAKAN GOOGLE MAPS
Intisari / Abstract
Indonesia has the largest geothermal energy potential in the world. A total of 252 geothermal locations in Indonesia spread following the path of volcanic formation that stretches from Sumatra, Java, Lombok, Sulawesi to Maluku.
As a renewable and environmentally friendly energy, geothermal energy potential of this great contribution needs to be improved to meet the need of energy so as to reduce Indonesia's dependence on fossil energy sources are dwindling. Geographic information system (GIS) is the right solution to solve this problem. Implementation of the filing with the GIS is expected to help the process of finding data and information clearly. This system uses the Google Maps API with a visual display in the form of interactive maps that provide information such as the location is expected to allow users to search for information about the location of geothermal energy in Indonesia.
