KOMPONEN DASAR IMPLEMENTASI CLOUD COMPUTING STRATEGY KATEGORI SOFTWARE AS A SERVICE (SAAS) DAN INFRASTRUCTURE AS A SERVICE (IAAS) PADA INSTITUSI PERGURUAN TINGGI

Abstract


Kebutuhan layanan yang serba cepat, praktis dan ekonomis semakin dirasakan seiring tuntutan perkembangan zaman, terlebih untuk institusi perguruan tinggi. Persoalan yang ada yaitu belum semuan institusi perguran tinggi memiliki sistem pengelolaan teknologi. Solusi yang ditawarkan untuk mengelola sistem berskala enterprise yaitu dengan cloud computing. Sehingga kebutuhan layanan akademik bagi dosen dan mahasiswa dapat terpehuni dengan baik. Metode yang digunakan adalah literatur review, dan studi kasus pada Pusat Sistem dan Sumber Daya Informasi, Universitas Gadjah Mada (PSDI–UGM). Infrastructure As A Service (IAAS) dan Software As A Service (SAAS) bagian terpenting dari komponen utama cloud computing dalam memberikan layanan kepada institusi perguruan tinggi. Komposisi fitur dan layanan utama yang digunakan pada institusi perguruan tinggi terutama bagi dosen dan mahasiswa itulah yang menjadi fokus penelitian dalam makalah ini.
