DAMPAK FAKTOR-FAKTOR MANAJEMEN PENGETAHUAN TERHADAP KINERJA PENGEMBANGAN PRODUK BARU
Abstract
Pengetahuan diakui sebagai faktor penting yang dapat meningkatkan kinerja pengembangan produk baru (NPD). Hal ini dikarenakan pengetahuan yang telah diciptakan selama proses NPD dapat digunakan kembali untuk pengembangan produk berikutnya, sehingga waktu NPD menjadi lebih efisien. Saat ini masih sedikit studi yang meneliti hubungan antara faktor-faktor manajemen pengetahuan (KM enablers), proses penciptaan pengetahuan (KC), dan kinerja NPD. Oleh karena itulah dikembangkan model penelitian yang menerapkan KM enablers dalam konteks NPD. Model ini meliputi enam KM enablers (kolaborasi, trust, belajar, karakteristik kepemimpinan, t-shaped skill dan dukungan teknologi informasi), dan dimediasi oleh proses KC (sosialisasi, eksternalisasi, kombinasi, dan internalisasi). Hasil analisis menunjukan pengaruh yang kuat antara KM enablers dengan proses KC dan kinerja NPD. Hal ini dapat memfasilitasi adaptasi dan perubahan yang perlu dilakukan oleh manajer NPD untuk meningkatkan proses KC dan mengurangi time to market.
