Aplikasi Augmented Reality (AR) telah banyak diterapkan di berbagai bidang, salah satunya yaitu sebagai aplikasi edutainment pada museum. Beberapa penelitian mengenai aplikasi AR di museum telah dilakukan. Aplikasi AR tidak hanya sekadar menampilkan informasi yang berhubungan dengan objek museum, tetapi juga dapat dikembangkan menjadi aplikasi yang lebih interaktif, misalnya melalui permainan kuis sederhana. Salah satu hal penting dalam pengembangan aplikasi AR adalah metode pelacakan objek dalam museum. Beberapa metode pelacakan tanpa marker dipaparkan melalui paper ini. Metaio SDK dinilai sudah cukup untuk memenuhi kebutuhan pengembangan aplikasi kuis AR dengan pelacakan tanpa marker pada ponsel cerdas, yaitu dengan menggunakan metode FAST & Robust, SLAM, dan definisi konten dengan AREL. Dari hasil studi, kombinasi metodemetode tersebut menghasilkan pelacakan tanpa marker pada ponsel cerdas yang dapat mendeteksi ciri-ciri objek secara cepat, efisien, dan dapat bekerja secara real time. Selain itu, skenario aplikasi kuis AR dalam museum juga diusulkan dalam paper ini.
